Update
Between being hospitalized, coming home, settling back into a routine I feel like I've been ignoring this blog. In truth it has not been intentionally. What has been occurring is that Artful Abilities is preparing to launch its official website.
Meetings on the phone, in person and through e-mail have occurred with the most fabulous web designer on earth, FRIG! Frig, I hope you are reading this because I'm here singing your praises.
I've spoke with a world renowned artist. A great work of art will be on the opening page. But I'm not going to ruin the surprise. You will love the art; I guarantee it. There are other surprises in store and a host of great interviews lined up. May will prove to be our most exciting month yet.

I am Woman...I am Tired Quote of the Week
People tell me that starting a business is exhausting. It is filled with longer than 40 hour work weeks and never ending work. Well, for me even getting close to a 10-14 hr work week is impossible and I'm exhausted, I'm not invincible, and I'm tired...oh, so very, very tired. However, work on the business moves forward at a snails pace and connections with other disabled people continue to be made.To get me out of the house which hasn't happened for months, other than doctor appointments, my husband took me to a breakfast and a bookstore, afterwords. I couldn't help but snap this photo of a gift book I saw there. It is by Peter Pauper Press. It is with great illustrations guaranteed to lift the spirits but not your fatigue. After my outing due to Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, I went home and slept for 6 hrs. Such is life.

Thursdays Tip, A Day Late But Not a Dollar Short
When you are disabled it is hard to find ways to make money when your time and energy permit.
I heard of writing articles for money on the net. First, I wasn't certain if it was a scam or not. Second, with my cognitive problems I wasn't sure I could do it. I know it would not be possible without the voice recognition program I currently have available to me. But for now, that equipment is a God send.
I know that some of the site out there may be scams. However, I also know that in my first month at Associated Content ( www.associatedcontent.com ) I earned over $50.00. That might not sound like much to you. But you'd be surprised what a difference $50 dollars makes, especially when you are disability. I have a friend that has been on the site for four years. If she'd stop writing tomorrow, she'd still be making about $45.oo a month from continued hits on the articles she's already written. So for those of you that are gifted in this area, this might be the way for you to go.
Go sharpen up that pencil now and get writing. What do you have to lose. It is another way for you to use your artful ability.
